Referral Partners


Our Referral Partners are predominantly business that provide complementary products and services to the Australian business community. Many of them have been asked the question “Do you know anyone that builds websites?” and have had to answer “No” in the past. As a Referral Partner, they’ve been able to referrer their clients to KDG and get rewarded for it. Here are some examples of businesses that would be ideally suited to becoming a Referral Partner:
  • Printing Shops: Next time you’re printing business cards for your clients, ask them if they have a website. If they say no, give them our cards and get them to call us – we’ll take care of the rest.

  • Computer Stores: How many times have your customers approached you expecting you to be able to design websites just because you sell computers? At least next time they ask, you’ll be able to give them a positive answer.

  • Internet Service Providers (ISPs): Next time a business buys arranges internet connectivity from your organisation, why not refer them to KDG and earn a commission if they sign up.

  • Accountants: If your client approaches you saying that they want to expand their business by opening up an ‘online store’ you’ll know who they should speak to.

  • Business Consultants: So you’re helping your client improve their business marketing strategy. What more cost-effective, results driven solution can you offer than to recommend them to get a professional website developed by KDG.

What does it cost for me to become a Referral Partner?
Being a Referral Partner doesn’t cost you anything – there are no joining fees or annual fees, just the rewards for referring business to KDG.



How do you calculate the commissions and bonuses?
We don’t want your efforts to go un-rewarded, that’s why we’ll send you a cheque for 5% of the total sale value (ex. GST) for every client that signs-up. When you consider most of our solutions are in excess of $2,000 it works out to be quite a healthy commission for just handing over our details. The bonuses are awarded to staff that ‘actively promote’ our business. The bonus is a voucher valued at 1% of the total sale value (ex. GST) issued in increments of $10. Here are some examples of how this would work:
  1. Scenario One: Printing Shop
    You own a Print Shop and one of your customers has ordered 1,000 business cards. You notice that they don’t have a website so you ask them if they have one. They tell you that they’ve been looking into it but didn’t know who to speak to. They grab a KDG brochure and business card and contact us. One of our Consultants meets with them and submits a proposal to design and create a website for their service-based business. We quote works out to be $3,680.00 (ex. GST) but because they’ve showed us the brochure they received from your shop they receive a 5% discount reducing the quote to $3,496.00 (ex. GST – total saving $184.00). They agree to go ahead and as soon as we receive their 50% deposit we send you out a cheque for $174.80 (5% off the total sale).

  2. Scenario Two: Computer Store
    You own a computer store and have just had one of your customers, John, buy a number of computer systems for his business. Alex, the staff member that was serving him asks if he has a website but John says “No”. Alex grabs a KDG brochure, writes his name on the back of the brochure and gives it to John – informing him that if he mentions your business he will get a 5% discount. John then calls KDG, makes an appointment to meet with one of our Consultants and informs the Consultant that Alex from your store recommended us. John receives a proposal to develop an e-commerce website for his business. The proposal comes out to be $6,540.00 (ex. GST) but with the 5% discount ends up costing him $6,213.00 (ex. GST - total saving $327). They agree to go ahead and as soon as we receive their 50% deposit we send your business a cheque for $310.65 (5% of the total sale). Since Alex helped refer John to KDG he also receives a bonus gift voucher valued at $60.00 (ie. 1% of the total sale rounded off to the nearest $10).

  3. Scenario Three: Business Consultant
    You are a business consultant to a number of businesses. While conducting an analysis of one of your clients marketing strategies you notice they don’t have a website. You recommend they call KDG to arrange a website. Your client takes your advice and gets in contact with us. After a detailed consultation we propose the development of a product catalogue website for $4,020.00 but because they mention your business they get 5% off making it only $3,819 (ex. GST – total saving $201.00). Because you referred your client, we’ll send you a cheque for $190.95 (5% of the total sale).


Do you offer Value-based Rewards?
Yes! We have 3 levels of Referral Partner; Silver, Gold and Platinum. Significant value-based financial rewards are on offer for Referral Partners who refer larger sales to KDG. Depending on the amount of the sale (ex. GST) as a direct result of your referral; you will be assigned a Partner Level which determines your Commission Rate as detailed below:

The higher the value of the business you generate as a Referral Partner, the larger the financial reward your business receives.
 


What do I have to do as a Referral Partner?
Being a Referral Partner is simple and doesn’t distract you from your day-to-day work. All you have to do is leave KDG’s marketing material sitting on your desk or counter and whenever someone asks you about websites simply hand them a brochure and business card and say “Give these guys a call and tell them we sent you”. We also offer bonuses to any of your staff that would like to actively promote our websites. By ‘actively promote’ we mean asking your customers if they have a website instead of waiting for them to ask.



How will you know a client was referred by us?
We think the best way for us to find out who referred who is to offer the referee business a 5% discount only if they mention our Referral Partners business. What business wouldn’t want 5% off their website? We’ll also stamp each of our brochures with your business name but just in case they don’t know about the special discount they are entitled to, all our Consultants will be asking them how they found out about us. We believe this is a win-win for all parties involved. It is in our best interest to keep you ‘in the loop’ since we realise that our success depends on a strong, long-term relationship with our Referral Partners.

How do I become a Referral Partner?
Becoming a Registered Referral Partner couldn’t be simpler. Either give us a call or complete the Partner Application Form. We will then arrange a time for one of our Consultants to come to your office or shop to meet with you and discuss our Partner Program in more detail and explain how your business can benefit for referring business to us. If you’re happy with what you see the Consultant will sign your business up as a Registered Referral Partner and provide you with a display unit and a number of brochures and business cards. It’s that simple.



How do I order more brochures and business cards?
There are a number of convenient ways for you to order more brochures and business cards:
  1. Order Online – click on the Partners tab and select Order Marketing Material. Enter your Business Name or Partner ID, select the marketing material you need, select the delivery address and we'll send it to you.

  2. Call our officecall one of our Consultants and quote your Business Name or Partner ID over the phone. We’ll then confirm your details and send you the required marketing material.

  3. Email us – send an email to partners@kineticdesign.com.au. Include your Business Name or Partner ID and what marketing material you would like us to send to you.
