Work Experience with Antena Hispana
Antena Hispana is a non-profit production company that produces television programs for Melbourne's Channel 31. It began in 1994 and its principal aim is to provide programs in Spanish and English to promote Hispanic culture in Melbourne. This organisation is responsible for producing Fusion Latina, which is broadcast on Channel 31 on the last Sunday of each month at 11am; as well as Entre Todos, which is broadcast on every other Sunday in the same time slot.
For students doing media studies, valuable experience can be gained by volunteering at Antena Hispana. However, volunteers with some previous knowledge of the industry are preferred. Tasks include edition, production, subtitling, and presenting.
